Painting Tulips & Swans, May 3 & 111-5 PM, EST (Washington D.C.) In this online class, students will watch painting demonstrations and receive feedback on their artwork. The composition and construction of a painting involving swans and multicolored tulips will be gone over in great detail.
Techniques such as linework, gesture, feather effects, value, color harmony, and more will be discussed. In addition, the week-apart dates will allow for the completion of a painting and or drying time in between classes, thus allowing space and opportunity for over-painting techniques, such as glazing, texture application, and impasto. Photo references of both tulips and swans will be provided, along with instructions for lighting and arranging your own photos. Recordings of both class days will be available to all students who sign up, regardless of live attendance. You will receive email critiques of your artwork, and the recordings of the live class will be available for a minimum of two years.
